Health & Vaccinations

No immunisations are mandatory for foreign visitors to the UK, but you should check at home whether or not you need any.

Regardless of nationality, everyone receives free emergency treatment at accident and emergency (A&E) departments of NHS hospitals. You may be eligible for free non-emergency treatment depending on circumstance, it is always best to check the reciprocal arrangements between the UK and you home country before leaving. More details can be found at UK Department of Health website. Chemists (or pharmacies) can advise on minor ailments like sore throats and stomach upsets. Travel insurance is highly recommended.
