If you are coming to the UK directly from another EU country you are allowed to bring as much alcohol and tobacco as you want provided it is for your own personal use and not for commercial purposes. Custom officers must be satisfied that this is the case. If you are coming to the UK from outside the EU, there are limits to the amount of alcohol, tobacco, perfume and other goods you can bring into the country without paying duty.
